Take It Apart

Take It Apart

So when I detect
that it’s touching my heart
I try to dissect
and take it apart

I let my mind enter
my heart becomes sore
I go to the centre
and look at the core

Then I start writing
pretend and conjure
When my heart is writhing
then this is my cure

The slightest emotion
can turn into song
So don’t get the notion
it’s you, ’cause you’re wrong

The loss of a job
is just a fresh start
There’s no need to sob
when you take it apart

The love of your life
may trample your heart
But you are the knife
that takes it apart
